"Contemporary Finance and Economics" published Mr. Kevin Liu's study on the Jiangxi, inter-provincial and international citrus market

The monthly journal "Contemporary Finance and Economics" published the Chinese translation of Mr. Kevin Liu's English-language report, "A Brief Analysis of the Jiangxi and Inter-Provincial International Citrus Market". Submitted to the World Bank, the report reversed the Bank's position that "China's creation of Three Gorges Province and a Yangtze citrus belt would soon leave the Chinese citrus market oversupplied". The Bank agreed to provide long-term, low-interest concessionary loans covering 50% of total project cost, funding a full value-chain project in Ganzhou, Jiangxi — wasteland planting, processing, cold storage and distribution of navel oranges. Six years later the project became the listed company South Jiangxi Fruits. Today the "Gannan Navel Orange" brand is valued at approximately RMB 70 billion and is a signature emblem of the region.
